March 2017 Marks First Annual National Ladder Safety Month
Itasca, Il – The American Ladder Institute’s National Ladder Safety Month is designed to raise awareness of ladder safety and to decrease the number of ladder-related injuries and fatalities. Dedicated exclusively to the promotion of ladder safety at home and at work, the event will bring heightened awareness to the importance of the safe use of ladders through resources, training, and a national dialogue.
Goals of National Ladder Safety Month include:
- Lowering the rankings of ladder-related safety citations on OSHA’s yearly “Top 10 Citations List”
- Decreasing the number of ladder-related injuries and fatalities
- Increasing the number of companies and individuals inspecting and properly disposing of old, damaged, or obsolete ladders
“We wholly support the ALI in all of its ladder safety initiatives,” says LineDrive president and CEO Jim Johnson. “Training our customers and their employees in proper inspection, set up, and use is something we encourage throughout the year as well.”
